Susan has spent thirty years in higher education and was the Executive Director, Human Resources at Western Sydney University until her recent retirement.
On her retirement the University bestowed on her the inaugural honorary title of Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Fellow.
During her career at Western, she worked in a range of roles, including Manager of the Executive Projects Unit, foundation College Manager for the College of Arts, Education, and Social Sciences and held roles as Campus Coordinator, Student Centre Manager and Manager of Assessments and Progressions.
Susan holds a BA (UWS) (major in communications) 2000, Grad Cert Business Administration (University of Queensland) 2001, Masters in Leadership and Management in Education (University of Newcastle) 2007 AICD, Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As the foundation Chair of the Board for WSUELL, Susan has been on the Board for nine years and has a keen appreciation of the importance of the early learning years for our leaders of tomorrow. She has recently been holding the fort as interim Managing Director ATEM, until the new MD commences in the next few weeks.
